Welcome to the 'Wine City' neighborhood of Ashkelon
The ancient "Wine city" - a historic site of wine production from the Byzantine period that was unveiled in the 90s in Ashkelon, and it's intended for preservation. The new 'Wine City' neighborhood near the historic site is located on the eastern side of Ashkelon as part of the 'Roof Agreement' signed.
Over
the next few years more than 11,000 housing units and over 800,000 square
meters of employment and commercial space will be built in the new
neighborhood, there will be hundreds of dunams of green spaces, dozens of new
educational institutions. In the east side the neighborhood will make a real
revolution in trade, employment and industry: new industrial park and a
high-tech park will be built on an area of about 85,000 square meters.
The
"Wine city" is weighty proof that Ashkelon is the spring of eternity,
one of the oldest cities in the world, renewing and shaping its future.
